We’re looking for an entrepreneurial-minded engineer with construction experience who can drive results through customer solution development and project management. You will elevate SwiftWall’s capabilities by leading the development of customer solutions and applications and manage customer-driven and internal projects. What You’ll Own and Drive

Solutions & Applications Engineering

  • Support SwiftWall’s sales team by developing customer solutions, from concept to design to prototype to sale
  • Engage directly with channel partners and customers to understand their needs and apply SwiftWall’s products and technologies to their applications
  • Utilize CAD software to design and create prints of new parts to visualize and communicate ideas, designs, and integrations
  • Work with production team to rapidly prototype solutions
  • Engage directly with customers to provide and communicate solutions that meet their needs.
  • Work cross-functionally as part of the innovation engine by incorporating solutions and applications into development of new products and improvement of existing products
  • Work with IT companies to develop software and apps for SwiftWall
 

Project Management & Estimating

  • Perform estimates and material take-offs for large and complex projects and serve as the center of expertise for the estimating function
  • Source materials and products that support unique applications of SwiftWall to meet the requirements of specific projects.
  • Lead and manage customer projects from design through execution
  • Create and manage project estimates, proposals, budgets, and constraints related to field work. Identify deficiencies within budgets and communicate effective onsite solutions to keep moving forward toward completion.
  • Proactively engage in customer pre-construction meetings and permitting authorities to ensure proper understanding of site conditions, requirements, and scopes of work for successful planning and execution of projects.
  • Conduct effective postmortem meetings within the organization and communicate effectively with all stakeholders to capture and implement lessons learned on future projects.
 

Who You Are

  • At least 3 years of experience working in the construction industry
  • Degree in engineering, construction management, or related is preferred
  • Someone whose hobbies include “tinkering” and/or “building stuff”
  • Has knowledge and is able to work with Inventor or SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Sketch up, Word, Excel, Power Point, Bluebeam, and construction management softwares.
  • An effective leader and communicator in support of technical sales to new and existing customers and dealers.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and manufacturing standard and custom production prints
  • Experiencing in setting and managing construction project budgets
  • Confident with and ability to use basic construction tools and equipment
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Willing to travel up to 30 percent of the time to jobsites, channel partners, potential customer sales visits and trades shows as directed and required
